Update: July 31, 2020 – COVID-19 UPDATES
Finn Families: please link below for our School Reentry Plan as submitted to the New York State Department of Health and New York State Education Department on July 31, 2020. To continue to effectively meet the needs of our school community, this reopening plan will be reviewed, adjusted, and communicated to stakeholders, in alignment with any changes to guidance or recommendations by the various state agencies and our charter authorizer, the SUNY Charter Schools Institute.

UPDATE: March 14, 2020
ELMIRA, NY, March 14, 2020 – Under advisement of the New York State Department of Health and by order of Chemung County Executive Chris Moss regarding the suspension of all classroom and extra-curricular functions for prevention efforts against COVID-19, the Elmira City School District will be closed for students beginning Tuesday, March 17 through April 13. If at the end of spring recess, the situation is deemed clear by health officials, students will report Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
Schools are scheduled for regular session on Monday, March 16 in order for students and staff to prepare for this extended suspension of classroom functions. Students will be dismissed at the end of the school day March 16 until schools reopen. Monday, April 13, 2020 will be a staff development day only.
